Expertise: Out-of-school time programming
Maria Mitter, LMSW, MSBA has worked for more than 15 years with at-risk youth in juvenile justice and education settings, both during the school day and in after-school programs. She is a expert on out-of-school time programs, and has worked at the state, association, city, and school district level to ensure that students have access to high quality programming. She holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in business leadership from Madonna University. She currently serves as the assistant director of the Bright Futures 21st Century Community Learning Center program. She has a passion for grant writing to secure funding that will give youth opportunities to enrich their lives and provide support to achieve their greatest potential.
