Eastern Michigan University launches Business Link - a single-door virtual platform linking business to EMU

WHAT is Business Link?

Business Link is EMU’s virtual platform to linking cultivating  & initiating collaborations,  partnerships and patent licensing between businesses, corporate entities and the University.  By providing one central doorway for business, Business Link will assist businesses in navigating the complicated and large university system.

What will happen at the launch event?

We encourage business large and small, local, regional and national to stop by and view the new Business Link site, as well as meet many of EMU’s offices and directors dedicated to cultivating business and industry partnerships.

Where is Business Link located? Who oversees it?

Housed in the Engage @ EMU area, Business Link is coordinated by the Business Engaged Council (BEC), which is made up of directors and representatives from:

  • Commercialization & Technology Transfer
  • Office of Research Development and Administration
  • EMU Foundation
  • Career Services
  • Engage@EMU Training,Testing & Certification Center
  • College of Business

and the Associate Provost and VP of Research and the Graduate school.

The BEC works across University departments to ensure collaboration in all areas: internships, patents, entrepreneurship, research, economic development, training and curriculum with emphasis on continued growth and transformation.
