YPSILANTI – The Eastern Michigan University bachelor’s online degree in Dietetics and Human Nutrition has been rated among the nation’s best by a national educational website.

BestSchools.org features Eastern as one of the best “Bachelor’s in Nutritional Sciences Degree Programs” in TheBestSchools.org listings for 2019. Eastern was one of five programs ranked and the only Michigan one listed.

TheBestSchools.org says it seeks to connect prospective students with the best online degree programs available nationwide. For this ranking, the website reviewed all accredited online programs in the U.S. to select the top ones.

According to the website, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 15 percent job growth for dietitians and nutritionists between 2016 and 2026. That projected growth is nearly twice that of the average occupation in the U.S. and reflects an immediate need for professionals who can help individuals and communities better understand what they can do to improve their health, habits and lifestyle.

TheBestSchools.org is an independent organization comprised of a group of educators, professionals, and authors providing resources and advice to assist learners through every step of their education, into their careers, and toward sustainable lifelong learning.

The group is a member of both the American Council on Education and the National Association for College Admission Counseling,

A key element in the EMU program is its students’ stated desire to help others achieve healthy and happy lives through excellent nutrition. Careers in dietetics and human nutrition are challenging and evolving as research continues in the field. Eastern’s program is offered both on campus and online; thus students can earn a degree from anywhere at Michigan in-state tuition rates.

See EMU the dietetics and nutrition website for more information on the master’s and bachelor’s degree programs.
