Latest episode of EMU Today TV highlights initiatives to support students’ career development, internships and job searches; provides an in-depth look at the “Pride of the Peninsula,” the EMU Marching Band

Mark S. Lee interviews Crystal Walrath virtually on EMU Today TV

YPSILANTI --  The latest episode of EMU Today TV takes an in-depth look at the University’s Advising and Career Development Center. The segment discusses the resources available to students to help them prepare resumes, meet with potential employers for internships or careers once they graduate, how to prepare for interviews and even how to dress for success. The guest for the segment is Crystal Walrath, the University’s assistant director for career development.

The second segment features an inside at the EMU Marching Band, known as the Pride of the Peninsula. The Marching Band recently completed a gospel-oriented football halftime show, “Take Me to Church,” featuring the EMU Marching Band, the EMU Gospel Choir, the Wayne State University Choir, and local vocalists. Director of Athletics Bands Nick Smith is the featured guest.

Entering its sixth season, EMU Today TV, produced by the University’s Division of Communications, highlights positive programs, events and initiatives at Eastern.

Mark S. Lee, host of CBS Radio’s Small Talk with Mark S. Lee, is the host of EMU Today TV. Lee is an Eastern Michigan University alumnus, and part-time lecturer of Marketing at Eastern. He is an entrepreneur, Crain's Detroit blogger and frequent contributor to various Detroit-area media outlets on business topics.

In addition to viewing on the University's YouTube channel, the program airs on the following days/times through the month on Xfinity CN900:

  • Thursdays at 11 a.m.
  • Fridays at 11 a.m.
  • Saturdays at 8 a.m.
  • Sundays at 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
