YPSILANTI — Eastern Michigan University earned a spot among the top 250 universities nationwide for online degree programs in 2025, according to Newsweek. As the demand for online education options continues to grow, EMU is proud to offer virtual courses for undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
The global news organization’s ranking is based on a comprehensive survey of more than 10,000 individuals who pursued online courses to obtain an academic degree. Schools are ranked based on organization, support, price, reputation, success, recommendation, and overall satisfaction. To receive an award, institutions need an above-average total score value.
Eastern’s online programs provide students with flexibility, allowing them to access world-class education anywhere. Notably, students in fully online programs pay in-state tuition and fees regardless of where they live. EMU offers over 40 undergraduate and graduate programs in business, education, healthcare, and technology, providing students with diverse studies to pursue.
This achievement builds on EMU’s prior recognition by OnlineMastersDegree.org’s recognition of EMU as a top-nine university for pursuing a master’s degree online in 2024, highlighting the psychology, dietetics, engineering management, and early childhood education programs.
