EMU #GivingTrueDay 2024 unites community, raising over $2 million for student success

YPSILANTI — On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Eastern Michigan University’s #GivingTrueDay brought together alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and students in a united effort to advance student success. With contributions from 1,110 donors, the campaign achieved an impressive total of $2,033,907.23, driving support for scholarships, campus programs, and initiatives that empower student achievement and foster growth.

“These contributions play a crucial role in enabling students to succeed and in strengthening the University as a whole,” said EMU President James Smith.

The funds raised will provide essential resources to enhance student experiences, from academic support and extracurricular activities to initiatives that promote equity and inclusion. This collective effort reflects the University's commitment to ensuring every student has the tools they need to thrive.

“The collective support from alumni, friends, and the campus community is truly inspiring. Every gift represents a commitment to creating opportunities and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students,” said Vice President for Advancement and Executive Director of EMU Foundation, Maher Salah.
