YPSILANTI - Eastern Michigan University students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to join their fellow Eagles for TRUEMU Night at Comerica Park on July 25 as the Detroit Tigers take on the Los Angeles Angels. The game will begin at 6:40 p.m. and is a great opportunity for EMU fans to show their support for the EMU community, with $5 from every ticket sold through the Tigers/EMU ticket page going to the EMU Student Emergency Fund. The fund is dedicated to helping students through times of financial difficulty that may affect their ability to remain in college.

"TRUEMU nights are a great way for Eastern Michigan students, faculty, staff, and alumni to get together for a fun night of camaraderie and school pride," said Walter Kraft, vice president for communications. "Fans will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with mascots Swoop and the Tigers’ Paws. Most exciting is the limited supply of one-of-a-kind co-branded Tigers/Eastern Michigan Paws bobbleheads that all attendees who purchase tickets through the EMU package will receive at no additional cost. Plus, every ticket includes a $5 donation to the Student Emergency Fund. It's a great night for a great cause!"

The Student Emergency Fund is an assistance program that provides currently enrolled students with financial support for unexpected emergency expenses. This allows students to continue their education and meet their housing, medical, or additional financial needs. Learn more about how the Student Emergency Fund provides support to EMU students.
