Mark Higbee, a history professor for 31 years, passed away on February 13. He was passionate about teaching and used the Reacting to the Past method to help students experience famous moments in history. Memorial information will be posted when available.

Benjamin Van Riper, a professor in the College of Education for 31 years, passed away on January 16. He was a learner, listener, and beloved teacher. A service will be held on May 16 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mich.
