“The Eastern Michigan University College of Business aspires to be recognized as Southeastern Michigan's leader in applied business education,” said Kenneth Lord, dean of the College of Business.  “I am daily impressed by the tremendous work of our outstanding faculty, staff, and students in bringing that vision to life.  These new rankings, placing us among the very top business schools in the nation in human-resource management, entrepreneurship, taxation, and integrated marketing communication, reveal that our vision is more than an aspiration; it has become reality.”

Intelligent.com’s methodology includes analyzing student and parent surveys and aggregated rankings from reputable publications. Top schools are then evaluated based on four factors: academic quality, graduation rate, cost and ROI, and student resources and given an Intelligent Score on a scale of 0 to 100.

Eastern offers flexible distance learning that appeals to busy adults or hybrid models that include on-campus and online formats. Experts at Intelligent.com assessed programs that help students enhance and develop advanced skills for various in-demand positions.

Studies show that a degree pays off.  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, workers with higher education typically earn more and have lower rates of unemployment compared with workers who have less education. Over a lifetime, reports show that college graduates will make 84 percent more than those with a high school diploma.
