Mark Higbee, a history professor for 31 years, passed away on February 13. He was passionate about teaching and the Reacting to the Past method to help students experience moments in history. A memorial is planned for April 3, 330-530, in McKenny Hall.
Benjamin Van Riper, a professor in the College of Education for 31 years, passed away on January 16. He was a learner, listener, and beloved teacher. A service will be held on May 16 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mich.
