Expertise: Strategic Human Resource Management, Relational Coordination, Caregiving at the workplace
Dr. Pandey researches and teaches strategic human resource management. She directs the MSHROD in China program. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is deeply interested in studying why employees work, go over and beyond, and sometimes even engage in counterproductive work behaviors. Her research training was in strategic human resources; Specifically, the role of organizational HR practices on individual outcomes has been an interest. Since the Covid-19 crisis she has been studying dynamics at workplaces, with respect to role-relationships and a deeper interest in employee well-being. She is currently working on interdisciplinary research on understudied employee populations. Her research has been published in journals such as The Journal of Management, The Strategic Management Journal and The Journal of Managerial Issues. She has also co-edited a book on Downsizing called "Downsizing : Is Less Still more."
