Valerie Pauli is a highly committed nurse and nurse educator for more than 25 years. Valerie currently serves as an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Eastern Michigan University teaching in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. She has served in the School of Nursing as Chair of Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, Co-Chair of Graduate Program Committee, and the Honors College Nursing Advisor. Valerie has also served on an EMU Strategic Planning Subcommittee. Valerie holds a Doctor of Education degree, Master's in Nursing degree, and Bachelor's in Nursing degree. Valerie is a member of Midwest Nursing Research Society and has served on the Engagement Committee.
Valerie is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) through the National League of Nursing (NLN), a Board-Certified Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist (ACNS-BC), and licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Michigan. Her nursing practice includes Pediatric and Adult Emergency Medicine, Pediatric Acute Care, Adult-Medical Surgical Step-Down ICU, and Pre-admission Testing Clinic. She has presented research findings at numerous nursing conferences across the United States on topics of leadership, technology in education, incivility in nursing, and program evaluation. Valerie also serves as a volunteer in the Michigan Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) through the Monroe County Health Department.
