Engage@EMU is excited to announce the addition of Beth as our new Director of Professional Programs and Training (PPAT). Beth brings with her both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Business Administration, making her exceptionally well-qualified to oversee the development, management, and implementation of various professional development initiatives. These initiatives are designed to be practical, relevant, and timely, ensuring that they meet the dynamic needs of the workforce. She is responsible for leading programs that include test preparation courses and specialized certificate programs, all aimed at equipping individuals with the skills, knowledge, and credentials required to excel in their careers and continue advancing professionally.

Beth’s passion lies in fostering professional growth and creating opportunities for others. She actively collaborates with industry leaders, educators, and organizations to design and deliver training solutions that have a meaningful impact. By aligning these solutions with the ever-evolving demands of the workforce, Beth ensures that the programs under her leadership not only meet current needs but also anticipate future industry trends. Her diverse experiences in both higher education and the business sector, coupled with her strong commitment to lifelong learning, position her as a key player in driving the success of professionals and helping them achieve their career goals while also supporting their contributions to their respective organizations.

The PPAT program is a crucial initiative run by Engage@EMU as a representative of an OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC). As an OSHA Education Center, a prestigious national network of non-profit organizations, this program offers training opportunities that cater to workers at all levels by partnering with businesses, professional organizations, and government agencies to deliver customized training programs that address the specific professional needs of individuals within their respective sectors. Through this initiative, Beth and her team work to ensure that the workforce is equipped with the necessary skills and certifications to thrive in an increasingly competitive job market.
