Eastern Michigan University hosts innagural Digital Dudes middle school conference

EMU TO HOST INNAGURAL DIGITAL DUDES MIDDLE SCHOOL CONFERENCE

 

Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II and Theodore Johnson, Director, Aircraft Dispatch Program AT EMU to serve as keynote speakers

 

WHO:           

Eastern Michigan University will host 85 middle school boys on campus to learn about careers and college programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) on November 8.

 

WHAT:         

The one-day event, called Digital Dudes, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in EMU’s McKenny Hall located at 878 W Cross Street in Ypsilanti.

 

During the event, participants will have a chance to explore multiple interactive STEM sessions and network with industry leaders, professors and students.

                       

The doors open at 8 a.m. and the main program will begin at 9 a.m., with opening remarks from keynote guest speakers Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II and Theodore Johnson, Director, Aircraft Dispatch Program AT EMU to serve as keynote speakers
