Eastern Michigan University to celebrate opening of new Campus Wellness Center

on Thursday, March 12

WHO:               

Eastern Michigan University will celebrate the opening of its new campus Wellness Center, which houses EMU’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and the EMU Community Behavioral Clinic.

WHEN:             

Thursday, March 12

4 p.m.

WHAT:             

Located at the northwest end of campus adjacent to the new IHA Health Center @ EMU, the Campus Wellness Center houses the following two EMU operations:

  • Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), which serves EMU students, faculty and staff and was formerly located in the Snow Health Center.
  • The EMU Community Behavioral Clinic, formerly known as the Psychology Clinic, is a teaching facility operated by the EMU Department of Psychology. The clinic provides convenient and affordable psychological services to area residents. The Psychology Clinic was previously located at 611 W. Cross Street.

The celebration will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, remarks from University leaders, and light refreshments.
