Eastern Michigan University expert available for MI Future Educator Fellowship and MI Future Educator Stipend interviews

YPSILANTI – Ryan Gildersleeve, dean of Eastern Michigan University’s College of Education, is available for interviews regarding the potential impact and importance of the MI Future Educator Fellowship, a $10,000 scholarship and MI Future Educator Stipend, a $9,600 stipend, two funding options to support Michigan’s student teachers as they transition into full-time teaching in classrooms.

The funding opportunities are available to students enrolled in approved Educator Preparation Provider programs, which are programs in Michigan that are approved to recommend people for teacher certification and endorsements – many of these programs are offered through EMU’s College of Education.

Gildersleeve is an expert on PreK-20 educational opportunities, particularly within historically marginalized communities, and the philosophical foundations of higher education. For media inquiries, please email bmobley1@emich.edu or call (734) 487-4402.
