Center for Digital Engagement hosts annual Digital Marketing Workshop on November 16

Marketing professionals offer special insight on digital engagement and experience.

YPSILANTI –  The Center for Digital Engagement at Eastern Michigan University will be hosting its annual Digital Marketing Workshop at the EMU Student Center on Friday, November 16, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The theme “Your Life in Data” will be focusing on how our digital experience is shaped by the continual emittance of data. Several digital leaders such as Pinterest, General Motors, Domino’s, Google, Duo Security, Zingerman’s, Global Team Blue, Destination Ann Arbor, Fluency Media, and PWB will be sharing current content on the theme and digital engagement

Ron Fournier the former publisher of Crain's Detroit and current president of Truscott-Rossman, will start the workshop with an opening keynote address on how to craft stories and their direction in an information-rich news environment. Steve Lowisz, the CEO of Qualigence will close the day by addressing the issue of finding and engaging highly skilled talent in the current job market.

Students who attend this workshop will have the opportunity to network with professionals in their career field as well as learn about summer internship opportunities. Bud Gibson, the Director of the EMU Center for Digital Engagement says that this event will be a “unique opportunity for students to learn from the leaders and best in digital.”

Tickets for the Digital Marketing Workshop will be $70 but will be $60 with the special discount code “Early”. Students can purchase tickets for $35 with the discount code “STUDENTS”. Those attending the conference will be receiving breakfast and lunch, as well as all of the content of the workshop. Check in will start at 7:30 a.m.
