Students can take a free shuttle to ypsiGLOW street festival on Oct. 25

Free downtown event features a variety of creative flourishes, including lights, music and art

YPSILANTI — The ypsiGLOW street festival will be held this week, on Friday, October 25 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in downtown Ypsilanti.

ypsiGLOW is a free festival with lights, music, art, and more, featuring local artists, DJs, and street performers in a celebration of creativity. Storefronts and many other creations will be brought to life with colorful installations, along with more than a dozen other projects made by people in the community.

There will be a free shuttle to the festival, leaving from the Student Center and McKenny Hall.

The shuttle schedule is as follows:

Starting at 6:45 p.m.

  • Stop 1: Peninsular Place Apartments

  • Stop 2: EMU Student Center

  • Stop 3: McKenny Hall

  • Stop 4: ypsiGLOW on N. Washington Street

The shuttle will loop approximately every 20 minutes.

The last pickup from ypsiGLOW is 9:45 p.m.
