Eastern Michigan University to cancel classes tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 16, due to weather conditions

Students, faculty and staff:

Eastern Michigan University will close tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 16, due to weather conditions. Owing to the need for people to remain at home, the cancellation includes all scheduled classes, meetings, library operations, and other activities, whether virtual or in-person. Faculty and staff who are teleworking due to the pandemic are not expected to work Tuesday. 
 
Residence halls and apartments will remain open. Campus dining/food service will be available - visit EMU Dining for hours and locations. 
 
The Student Center COVID-19 Testing Center will remain open as scheduled tomorrow from 10 a.m. -  3 p.m.
 
The Washtenaw County Health Department (WCHD) has informed us that the vaccination clinic at the Convocation Center will be closed tomorrow. The Health Department will reschedule vaccination appointments. Please monitor the WCHD vaccination website for updates.
 
Due to the 24/7 nature of some campus operations, certain designated personnel such as heating plant, physical plant, food service, public safety, WEMU and other employees within specific areas of the University may be required to work. All other employees should remain at home in accordance with the Eastern Michigan University Extreme Weather Policy (enter weather into the search bar) and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
