YPSILANTI – Samir Tout, professor in the Eastern Michigan University School of Information Security and Applied Computing (SISAC), part of the GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology, will be a featured speaker at the Michigan Mobility Institute’s Mobility Talk on Wednesday, March 17 from 3-4 p.m.

According to the event website, advances to in-vehicle services, manufacturer backend services, and infrastructure connectivity enhance the vehicle experience but also open up new risks from bad actors. Designing new standards and new ways to secure both hardware and software is a growing field within mobility. In fact, one recent leading industry report projects that the cybersecurity market will grow to nearly $10 billion by 2030. This webinar will highlight panelists working in roles across the cybersecurity landscape and feature a conversation on what is driving the demand for new jobs in this field.

Jessica Robinson, Chair of the Michigan mobility Institute, will serve as the event host. Tamara Shoemaker, director of Detroit Mercy Center for Cyber Security & Intel Studies, and Mark Zachos, president of DG Technologies will serve as the other two panelists, alongside Tout.

Registration is required for the event and can be done through the event’s registration page.
