Eastern Michigan University to host fall job and internship fair with hundreds of career-building opportunities – Nov. 6

YPSILANTI — Eastern Michigan University will host its annual 2024 Fall Job Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Student Center Ballroom, offering students an opportunity to connect directly with hiring managers from diverse industries. This year’s fair, hosted by EMU’s University Advising and Career Development Center, features more than 70 employers from industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and government.

The Fair is designed to support EMU students and alumni in advancing their careers by providing access to hundreds of open roles and internships. Between 250 and 350 attendees are planning to attend with a chance to engage one-on-one with potential employers.

According to John Carlson, senior corporate relations manager at EMU’s University Advising and Career Development Center, employers admire EMU students’ grit and desire to stay local.

“The EMU 2024 Fall Job Fair is a fantastic opportunity for students and alumni to meet with employers from across the region that have open and available job and internship opportunities they're looking to fill today,” said Carlson.

The event begins with a readiness room where students can get professional headshots for their social media pages. A team of career professionals will also be available to support student and employer engagement. Students are encouraged to dress in professional business attire and bring plenty of resumes.

“We are proud of our students at the career development center and are grateful for all the amazing opportunities that our students have to achieve their personal and professional aspirations - and this includes all our amazing community employer partners who are loyal to Eastern Michigan University and the amazing talent that we have right here on campus,” said Carlson.

Students interested in attending are encouraged to register through Handshake, EMU’s career development platform, to secure their spot and receive additional event details.
