TechTalk featuring Mycah Slade

YPSILANTI — Eastern Michigan University’s GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology will host a TechTalk featuring Mycah Slade, associate engineer for Asset Management Overhead Transmission Line at ITC Holdings Corporation at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The event will be held in 124 Sill Hall and via Zoom.

The EMU TechTalk series offers students and faculty opportunities to network with experts and up-and-coming leaders in engineering, technology, and related fields. Each TechTalk provides opportunities to explore careers, internships, and research opportunities at the College. 

"We are excited to welcome Mycah Slade to Eastern Michigan University,” said Mohamad Qatu, dean of the GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology. "Her expertise and experience will offer invaluable insights to our students and faculty, highlighting the critical role of electrical infrastructure in sustaining and powering our daily lives."

Since launching EMU TechTalk, students and faculty have heard from industry leaders, including Brian Turnbull, mayor of the City of Northville; Doug Wallace, executive director of the Northville Chamber of Commerce; Zach Wigal, founder of Gamers Outreach; and John Bodary, president and owner of Woods Construction and Interiors, to name a few.

The event is open to EMU students, faculty, staff, and community members. Following her presentation, attendees can interact with Slade during a Q&A session. This event is LBC credit-approved and pizza and refreshments will be provided courtesy of ITC Holdings Corp.
