YPSILANTI — The GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology celebrates the selection of Interior Design junior Cecilia Vesperman for an exclusive internship with Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Georgia, making her the first student from the college and interior design program to earn this opportunity.

Gulfstream Aerospace, a global luxury business jet manufacturing leader, offers highly competitive internships that provide hands-on experience in cutting-edge aviation design.

“When I found out I was going to be an interior design intern at Gulfstream for the summer, I was incredibly excited and genuinely honored to have been selected for a position I know had many highly qualified applicants,” said Vesperman. “I am so grateful for this opportunity not only because it is the jumping-off point for the rest of my career, but also because I am looking forward to all the new experiences and opportunities to connect with people that this internship will provide.”

Vesperman’s passion for interior design stems from her desire to help people enjoy the spaces where they spend their time. During her internship, Vesperman will gain hands-on experience in aircraft interior design, assist with sample boards, renderings, and drawings of aircraft designs, align customer requirements with marketing goals and Federal Aviation Administration standards, work alongside industry professionals to refine her skills, and more.

“I have to say a big thank you to Professor Diane Guevara for letting me know about this opportunity and for helping with the application process, and to Barb Gehring for assisting with a total rework of my resume,” said Vesperman.
