Eastern Michigan University to host two spring commencement ceremonies – April 30

YPSILANTI – Eastern Michigan University will convene to celebrate its 2022 spring graduates with an in-person commencement ceremony. More than 1,700 students are eligible to participate in spring commencement ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 at the George Gervin GameAbove Center.

Graduates from the College of Business, GameAbove College of Engineering & Technology, and the College of Health & Human Services will participate in the 9:30 a.m. ceremony. Graduates from the College of Arts & Sciences, Individualized Studies, and the College of Education will participate in the 1:30 p.m. ceremony. 

The spring commencement ceremonies will be held in person, and a live stream link will also be available on the Commencement home page on the day of the event. Attendees are asked to follow the University’s safety protocols which require face masks worn by all individuals while inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center regardless of vaccination status.

Summer commencement ceremonies will be held on Aug. 13, 2022, for students who will complete their degree requirements during the summer of 2022.  Students who graduated in April 2020, December 2020, and April 2021 will also be invited to participate in the August ceremonies.  Additional information regarding the August Commencement will be posted at a later date.
