EMU Night at the Detroit Red Wings draws 360 fans and generates $1,800 for the EMU Student Emergency Fund

YPSILANTI --  Eastern Michigan University Night at the Detroit Red Wings was attended by more than 350 University alumni, employees, students, and friends, raising more than $1,700 for the EMU Student Emergency Fund. The EMU crowd was treated to a 4-1 Red Wings win over the visiting New York Rangers on Feb. 23. 

The night included fan photos with Swoop, a Zamboni ride by Swoop between the first and second periods, greetings by President Smith and Dr. Connie Ruhl-Smith, and an alumni table with greetings and giveaways. All Eastern attendees received a free, one-of-a-kind co-branded green hat with the EMU and Detroit Red Wings logos. 

Five dollars from each ticket sold through the Red Wings/EMU College Night site is donated to the EMU Student Emergency Fund.

Eastern Michigan University Night at the Detroit Pistons takes place on Tuesday, March 7 at 7 p.m. at Little Caesars Arena. Attendees will receive a free three-quarter zip co-branded jacket, and $5 from every ticket sold through the EMU site will be donated to the EMU Student Emergency Fund.

To obtain the jacket and donation to the Student Emergency Fund, tickets must be purchased through the Detroit Pistons/EMU College Nights site
