YPSILANTI – Eastern Michigan University and InfoReady Corporation are launching a partnership designed to deploy the company’s new InfoReady Thrive™ product, which is aimed at increasing student engagement on campus.
InfoReady Thrive uses algorithmic matching to connect students with opportunities and programs that most closely match their strengths, interests and goals. Students build a voluntary data profile using an intuitive app, and receive a curated list of opportunities that best fit their goals and interests without having to search through web pages and disparate channels of communication.
Meanwhile program leaders receive a focused list of candidates to which they can target their outreach. All of the data and actions are collected in analytics, providing the foundation of an effective, data-driven communication and student engagement strategy.
“EMU is excited about the possibilities that Thrive brings to our institution,” said Michael Tew, associate provost and associate vice president for academic programming at Eastern. “Increasing student engagement is a top priority for us, and the InfoReady solution represents an entirely new approach to not only increasing the number of students who participate in these learning opportunities, but helping them choose the best possible opportunities for their studies and eventual career.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with EMU,” said Bhushan Kulkarni, InfoReady’s CEO. “The University has numerous programs and student opportunities - be they curricular, co-curricular or extra-curricular. This program will help students track engagement with their programs in a meaningful way, and match them with the right opportunities.”
Initially the Thrive program will be introduced to first-year students enrolled in the university’s first-year seminar, UNIV 101L3.
