GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology to host TechTalk featuring Dave Konye, director of Business Development–Mobility, Schneider Electric

YPSILANTI — Eastern Michigan University’s GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology will host a TechTalk featuring Dave Konye, director of Business Development–Mobility, Schneider Electric at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19. The event will be held in 124 Sill Hall and via Zoom.

"We are thrilled to welcome Dave Konye as our TechTalk guest speaker,”  said Mohamad Qatu, dean of the GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology. “His expertise in sustainable mobility and cutting-edge energy solutions will provide our students and faculty with invaluable insights into the future of transportation and technology.” 

The EMU TechTalk series connects students and faculty with industry experts and emerging leaders in engineering, technology, and related fields. Each session offers valuable insights into careers, internships, and research opportunities within the College, fostering networking and professional growth.

Since launching EMU TechTalk, students and faculty have heard from industry leaders, including Mycah Slade, associate engineer for Asset Management Overhead Transmission Line at ITC Holdings Corporation; Brian Turnbull, mayor of the City of Northville; Doug Wallace, executive director of the Northville Chamber of Commerce; Zach Wigal, founder of Gamers Outreach, among others.

During the Tech Talk, Konye will provide an insightful overview of Schneider Electric, highlighting the company's mission, vision, and global impact. The discussion will focus on Schneider Electric’s commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, showcasing how the company is driving innovation to create a more sustainable future.

The event is open to EMU students, faculty, staff, and community members. Following Konye’s presentation, attendees can interact with him during a Q&A session. This event is LBC credit-approved and refreshments will be provided.
