"We are very excited to be part of this year's auto show, so students can demonstrate our unique and highly competitive programs for mobility and other areas," said Dr. Mohamad Qatu, dean of Eastern's College of Technology and a mechanical engineer by trade who spent 13 years in automotive.

He added, "The College of Technology is transforming into a serious and technologically advanced partner for local and regional industries and communities. We are developing programs and lab facilities to conduct research and prepare students to succeed in today’s continuously changing and advancing engineering and technology environments."

Many College of Technology graduates go on to work in automotive or an automotive-related field and most stay in the greater metro Detroit area. For more information on EMU's College of Technology, visit emich.edu/cot.
