Latest episode of EMU Today TV highlights Eastern Michigan University’s new Master of Science in Finance program and Gregory Peoples, recipient of the John W. Porter Distinguished Service Award

YPSILANTI --  Preparing graduates for the careers of tomorrow is the focus of the opening segment of the latest episode of EMU Today TV. The new episode features Eastern Michigan University’s new Master of Science in Finance Program. Associate Professor of Finance Karen Ann Craig, Ph.D., discusses the 30-credit hour AACSB-accredited program, which is designed for recent graduates and working professionals. The STEM-designated program covers topics in corporate finance, financial reporting, fixed income, derivatives, investments, portfolio management, wealth planning, and equity investments. 

The second segment features Gregory Peoples, recipient of the University’s John W. Porter Distinguished Service Award. The Eastern Michigan University Alumni Association presents the Award annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to Eastern Michigan University or the Alumni Association. Peoples is Emeritus Dean of Students and University Ombudsman at Eastern Michigan University, and astudent affairs professional with more than40 years of experience as a university administrator. Gregory has been a resident of the Ypsilanti community for over 37 years. He has been an active leader in the community serving on many local boards.
 


In its fourth season, EMU Today TV features positive programs, events and initiatives at Eastern, and provides opportunities for viewers to learn more from University deans, faculty, students, administrators and alumni about activities at the University.

Mark S. Lee, host of CBS Radio’s Small Talk with Mark S. Lee, is the host of the special edition of EMU Today TV. Lee is an Eastern Michigan University alumnus, and part time lecturer of Marketing at Eastern. He is an entrepreneur, Crain's Detroit blogger and frequent contributor to various Detroit-area media outlets on business topics.

In addition to viewing on the University's YouTube channel, the program airs on the following days/times through the month on Xfinity On Demand:

  • Tuesdays @ 9:30 am
  • Wednesdays @ 4:00 pm
