Eastern Michigan University student organization to host Construction Management Career Fair - Feb. 15

YPSILANTI — The Eastern Constructors, Eastern Michigan University's student organization, is set to host its annual Construction Management Industry Career Fair on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, from 4 - 6 p.m. in the EMU Student Center, 900 Oakwood St. Ypsilanti, MI 48197.

This free event connects students with leading companies in the construction industry, offering invaluable networking opportunities and potential job openings. Organized by the dedicated students of Eastern Constructors, this annual event has become a cornerstone for students aspiring to make their mark in construction management.

Adam Bogedain, construction management program instructor, oversees the industry fairs held semesterly with the Eastern Constructors.

“The EMU construction management program has seen 100% of students getting internships, and many get full-time positions while still completing their degree,” Bogedain said.

“It is amazing we have the support from a strong group of alumni and other industry experts that seek out our students. Jim Stein, an emeritus professor of construction management would often say our program is dedicated to constructing futures. I have heard him call it ‘hire education’ often for a reason.”

As an accredited program by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), EMU’s construction management program continues to introduce our students to quality employers such as Woods Construction, DeMaria, Ideal Contracting, John E. Green Company, Granger Construction, Spence Brothers, Robertson Homes, National Enclosure Company, Clark Construction, DTE Energy, Barton-Malow, Turner Construction, and Walbridge.

Through hard work and dedication, EMU’s construction management program has maintained its accreditation status with the ACCE since 1991.

EMU construction management, civil engineering, interior design, and business students are welcome to attend.
