Explore Eastern open house invites transfer students, high school students to learn more about an Eastern Michigan University education Oct. 22

YPSILANTI- High school and prospective transfer students have the opportunity to learn about the value of an Eastern education at the Explore Eastern open house October 22, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the EMU Student Center. Family members and friends are also welcome.

All students attending Explore Eastern can apply for admission FREE of charge —a $35 savings.

  •  EMU faculty will be available to talk to students about specific majors and academic programs.
  •  Deans from each of the five colleges – Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Health & Human Services and Technology - will give a brief presentation about the programs available.
  •  EMU leaders from housing, dining, career services, leadership and involvement, financial aid, scholarships and other areas will be able to speak with students.
  •  The admission staff is available to speak with incoming freshmen and transfer students. A special session for transfer students will be held.

Prospective students will also have the opportunity to attend campus tours, offered at 9 a.m., 11: 25 a.m. and 12:55 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to visit a classroom building, the Bruce T. Halle Library, the Olds-Robb Recreation and Intramural Building and a residence hall room.

Parking for Explore Eastern is free. It is recommended that students park in the Student Center lot located at 900 Oakwood St., Ypsilanti, 48197.
