Response to questions about Eastern Michigan University Aviation Program

First and foremost, the Eastern Michigan University Aviation Program is not closing. It is open and operating, and we are very excited about the program's future. The EMU Aviation Program has operated for more than 30 years and has many more decades ahead of producing top-flight talent for airlines and aviation businesses across the United States.

We have had a great relationship with the Eagle Flight Centre for many years and appreciate their partnership. As with all good things, at times it becomes necessary to move forward and that's the plan for the EMU Aviation Program.

In the days ahead, we will announce a new partnership arrangement that will bring even greater opportunities to the nearly 200 students currently in our Aviation Flight and Aviation Management programs, and to those who enroll in the future. These new opportunities include providing our students with more options in terms of location, scheduling and aircraft, and there will be no interruption in their education.

Eastern's Aviation Program has grown tremendously in the past several years and has a great future ahead. We are excited about our future plans for our students and look forward to announcing further details.
